Zygomatic Implants

How do they work?
Zygomatic implants are devices that are placed directly on the cheek bone, being especially indicated for patients with little bone in the jaws. Only a small group of surgeons in Spain is qualified to perform this type of treatment. At Dental Corbella, we are proud to have years of experience successfully addressing these types of cases, where patients can receive implants and fixed teeth on the same day.
Is the best option?
In cases of severe bone atrophy, yes it is. If we compare it with the traditional solution, we see these differences:
The intervention:
zygomatic implants
with immediate loading,
In the initial phase of the intervention, Conscious Sedation is administered to the patient, a method that not only ensures comfort during the procedure, but also contributes to a more bearable postoperative period. Placing the zygomatic implants is the next step. They are designed with dimensions slightly larger than standard to reach the zygomatic bone, located in the cheekbone area.
After a few hours from the placement of the implants, immediate loading is carried out, consisting of the instantaneous fixation of the teeth to the implants. This approach allows the patient to leave the intervention with a complete dental restoration, improving both aesthetics and functionality in a short period of time. This comprehensive approach, from conscious sedation to immediate loading of fixed teeth, seeks to ensure a more comfortable and efficient experience for the patient, while ensuring a smooth transition to post-operative recovery.
